Winterset teacher arrested for alleged sex

Third-grade teacher in elementary school was arrested Friday in Winterset three allegations of sexual exploitation by employees of the school after police said he observed two teenage girls kissing and caressing one of them during separate incidents in September 2011.

Drew c. Lipovac, 26, faces up to nine years in prison if convicted of the crime of one and two alleged violations.

He was arrested after an investigation by the police and the Winterset, Iowa Division of criminal investigation which began on December 15, when a member of the Winterset school district reported allegations that Lipovac had inappropriate physical contact with at least a HIGH SCHOOL girl.

Court documents say Lipovac provided and sharing beers in September with at least three high school students and adult females in a meeting at the home of Winterset are unidentified. Children identified only by initials in documents filed with the criminal complaint.
